DO NOT put your cat grass in direct sun. It does best in the muted, indirect light that's normal in your home—no window required. Too much sun dries it out quickly.
Things to know to care for your Cat Grass
Simple tips to keep your indoor garden fresh, healthy, and irresistible to your cat.

Keep your new cat grass out of reach until it's 3-4 inches tall (usually 7-10 days). This gives the roots time to establish and prevents your cat from pulling up the whole plant.

Do not let your cat grass get above about 5” tall. The grass will start to go to seed if you let it grow too tall. To trim, take scissors and trim the top off the grass. You can put the trimmings in your cat’s food, dog’s food or into your compost bin.

Your cat grass needs at least 1” of green grass above the soil to continue to grow. If your cat eats it down to 1” then take it away from your cat for a couple of days. The grass will grow back quickly. When it grows to about 3” give it back to your cat.
If your cat eats it down regularly then you should consider one of our bigger gardens or get a second garden.

You Cat Grass has a life span of a couple of months to several months depending on the style you have. When you r grass turns brown you can empty the planter and get one of our refill packages.
